AI for Good! Brilliant Labs Challenge

The AI for Good Design Challenge is a guided educational initiative that empowers students to address pressing global issues by leveraging AI as a creative, collaborative, and ethical tool. By shifting the focus from passive consumption to active, informed engagement, the challenge equips students with essential skills in critical thinking, research, persuasive communication, and AI fluency.

Even if it is right now just a thought-out idea or concept, you can register to work with Brilliant Labs to refine the idea and bring it to life! Invested Teams will be invited to an AI summit at UNB in June 2026.

Thank you to everyone who participated. Our contest is now over and the winner was Michael Methot from Nelson school. Congratulations Michael! Please continue to explore the site, offer feedback and share with others.

To help everyone get to know the new site, we’re launching a STEM North Scavenger Hunt! Complete the tasks, then submit your answers using the link below. All complete submissions will be entered into a draw for a WiFi Digital Microscope with 1000x viewing capabilities that easily connects to an iPad or phone.

We hope you enjoy discovering this resource to support Science & Technology education in your school!

STEM North Scavenger Hunt:

  1. Name one lesson or activity you find through the site that you can use in your classroom.
  2. Visit the “Partners” section on both of the Technology & Science pages and name a partner organization featured in each.
  3. Browse the Upcoming Events calendar and record one upcoming opportunity.
  4. Locate one PL opportunity that you’d like to explore and record its name.
  5. Explore one resource under ‘K-12 Resources’.
  6. BONUS submission! – Share the new STEM North website on social media through the STEM North Facebook page.
